Consultancy snaps up new business property in Edinburgh

An Edinburgh building is to be used by a respected company.

A global consulting, investment and outsourcing company has completed a deal that will see it take over new business property in Edinburgh.

Mercer has signed up for an 11-year stint at the Quartermile complex and will relocate there from its current base at Hanover Street in the city.

Built over seven floors, the new development boasts almost 100,000 sq ft of office space, of which Mercer will be using just over 10,000 sq ft.

Jones Lang LaSalle acted for the company throughout negotiations and its director Ben Reed said the confirmation that such a well-respected company is setting up at Quartermile is great news for the facility.

"Quartermile proved popular with Mercer due to its efficient layout and services, its central location and its excellent neighbouring facilities for staff," stated Mr Reed.

Cathedral Leasing this week signed up to use a business property named Dragon24 in the Welsh town of Llanelli, WalesOnline reported.
